Open cluster remnants: an observational overview
The state of the art in the current research on the final stages of OpenStar Clusters dynamical evolution is presented. The focus will be onobservational studies and their achievements. By combining togetherphotometric, spectroscopic and astrometric material, a new look at thisexciting topic is now possible, thus providing a solid observationalfoundation for a new generation of theoretical studies on the subject.

NGC 5385, NGC 2664 and Collinder 21: Three candidate open cluster remnants
We present CCD UBVI photometric and medium/high resolution spectroscopicobservations obtained in the field of the previously unstudieddissolving open cluster candidates NGC 5385, NGC 2664 and Collinder 21.Our analysis is based on the discussion of star counts, photometry, radial velocity distribution, and proper motions available from theTycho 2 catalogue. All three aggregates clearly emerge from the meanGalactic field, but, regrettably, the close scrutiny of proper motionsand radial velocities reveals that we are not facing any physical group.Instead, what we are looking at are just chance alignments of a fewbright unrelated stars. Our analysis casts some doubt on the Bica et al.(\cite{Bic01}, A&A, 366, 827) criterion to look for Possible OpenCluster Remnants. It seems mandatory to define a better criterion toadopt for further investigations.Based on observations carried out at Mt Ekar Observatory, Asiago, Italy.Photometry is only available in electronic form at the CDS via anonymousftp to cdsarc.u-strasbg.fr (130.79.128.5) or viahttp://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr/cgi-bin/qcat?J/A+A/428/67

The Pul-3 catalogue of 58483 stars in the Tycho-2 system
A catalogue of positions and proper motions of 58483 stars (Pul-3) hasbeen constructed at the Pulkovo observatory. The Pul-3 is based on theresults of measurements of photographic plates with galaxies (Deutsch'splan). All plates were taken using the Pulkovo Normal Astrograph (thefirst epoch is in the 1950s and the second epoch is in the 1970s).The Pul-3 catalogue contains stars of mainly 12 to 16.5 mag in 146fields with galaxies in the declination zone from -5o to+85o. The Tycho-2 has been used as a reference catalogue. The mean epoch of the Pul-3 is 1963.25. The internal positional accuracyof the Pul-3 catalogue at the mean epoch of observations is ±80mas. The accuracy of the proper motions is mostly within ±3mas/yr to ±12 mas/yr. Comparisons of the Pul-3 with Tycho-2 andARIHIP have been done at the mean epoch of the Pul-3. The Pul-3 externalpositional accuracy relative to Tycho-2 is ±150 mas.The catalogue is only available in electronic form at the CDS viaanonymous ftp to cdsarc.u-strasbg.fr (130.79.128.5) or viahttp://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr/cgi-bin/qcat?J/A+A/418/357

Speckle Interferometry at the US Naval Observatory. VIII.
The results of 2044 speckle interferometric observations of doublestars, made with the 26 inch (66 cm) refractor of the US NavalObservatory, are presented. Each speckle interferometric observation ofa system represents a combination of over a thousand short-exposureimages. These observations are averaged into 1399 mean positions andrange in separation from 0.16" to 14.97", with a mean separation of2.51". This is the eighth in a series of papers presenting measuresobtained with this system and covers the period 2001 March 18 through2001 December 30.

Two-colour photometry for 9473 components of close Hipparcos double and multiple stars
Using observations obtained with the Tycho instrument of the ESAHipparcos satellite, a two-colour photometry is produced for componentsof more than 7 000 Hipparcos double and multiple stars with angularseparations 0.1 to 2.5 arcsec. We publish 9473 components of 5173systems with separations above 0.3 arcsec. The majority of them did nothave Tycho photometry in the Hipparcos catalogue. The magnitudes arederived in the Tycho B_T and V_T passbands, similar to the Johnsonpassbands. Photometrically resolved components of the binaries withstatistically significant trigonometric parallaxes can be put on an HRdiagram, the majority of them for the first time. Based on observationsmade with the ESA Hipparcos satellite.
